KOMPAS.com- UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will attend the signing of a peace celebration in the Congo. According to Spokesman Martin Nesirky, yesterday, Ban Ki-moon would attend on February 24, 1995 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Actually, wrote the AP, that delayed signing process a month ago. According to Ban, the delay was due to a procedural issue, not the difference of views. Congo peace includes various aspects pertaining to at least eight countries: Congo, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, South Africa, and Tanzania.
The peace agreement is a great program to complete a conflict of the area. At the very least, Uganda is still negotiating peace with rebel group M23.
