Bomb in Pakistan Kills 43 People

KOMPAS.com- A bomb blast killed 47 people, including women and children and injuring more than 200 people in North-West Pakistan, Wednesday (16/2/2013), police and officials said.
The bomb was remotely-controlled it exploded in the town of Hazaras, a Shiite-dominated area residents on the outskirts of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province, which is rich in oil and gas. "At least 47 people were killed and at least 200 people injured. The death toll may rise.It is a bomb which is controlled remotely, "said Wazir Khan Nasir, a senior police officer in Quetta told AFP.
"It was a sectarian attack, the Shiite community is so on target," he added.
Important officials of the province Akbar Hussain argued that Durani told AFP the dead included women and children. "We think the number of victims will increase. We announce the readiness of hospital at home, "he said.
Durani said the bomb was planted near a pillar of one building in a single market. "The building collapsed due to the force of the bomb blast, several people were trapped inside," he said.
Officials and witnesses say an angry mob mwngepung that location is credited the explosion and did not allow police, aid workers and journalists from entering that location. "They got angry and started to protest, some of them threw stones and police," said Durani told AFP.

Baluchistan, which borders Iran and Afghanistan to be sectarian violence hotspots between Sunni and Shia residents, which is one-fifth of 180 million inhabitants of the country.
At least 92 people were killed and 121 wounded on 10 January, when two suicide bombers detonated a bomb at a crowded Club snooker in one location in the city of Quetta, which has a Shiite majority.

A wave of Attacks in Iraq Kills dozens of people

BAGHDAD, KOMPAS.com -a spate of bombings and gun attacks killed at least 53 people in Iraq, Thursday (16/8/2012), overshadow the country's preparations to celebrate the feast of Eid al-Fitr.

The latest unrest that makes total victims were killed by violence throughout the month reached 198, according to an AFP count based on the sources and security of medical records.

This increases the tension at a time when countries prepare for the celebration of Eid ul-Fitr at the weekend to mark the end of fasting month of Ramadan.
The deadliest violence on Thursday struck in and around Baghdad, where 26 people were killed in a series of bombings.

In the region North of Baghdad, Shiite-dominated Sadr City, 10 people were killed and 41 wounded by explosions overnight, while six people
killed and 26 injured by car bomb in Husseiniyah District, also in the North of the capital, security officials said, and medical.

North of Baghdad, gunmen with silenced weapons attacked checkpoints in six Massud, killed at least seven soldiers and wounding another, security and medical officials said. Three other people were killed and 11 wounded by an explosion in the eastern Baghdad neighborhood of twin, Zafraniyah.

In Tal Afar, North of Baghdad, a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt, killing six people and wounding 10 others, said Police Lieutenant Ghayib and Dr. Abed Mohammed Tawfik.  A series of attacks in the province of Kirkuk, North of Baghdad, killing nine people.

In the town of Daquq, an attacker detonated her suicide in one Department of anti-terrorism, while complex near the capital of the province, at least four car bombs that occurred throughout the city — including two in the Office of the State-owned Northern oil company.

"I came to investigate one of the attacks near the complex of the company," said Colonel Abdullah, head of the Police unit Lemon bloodhounds city Kirkuk.

"All of a sudden, another bomb exploded near me, and ruined many cars and property company in the parking lot."

Provincial health Chief Omar Sadiq victims of the attack on the Apostle mentions Daquq and city Kirkuk is eight people were killed and 56 wounded.

Also in the province of Kirkuk, two bombings occurred near the home of a police captain in the town of Dibis, killing his brother and injuring four other people, including the captain himself, said police and a doctor at the nearest hospital in Kirkuk.

In Kut, 160 kilometers (100 miles) South of Baghdad, a car bomb exploded on Thursday night, said police Colonel Dhargham al-Assadi.

Five people were killed and 70 were injured, according to Dhia al-Din al-Jalil Ibboudi, who is head of the Health Directorate in Kut.  The attacks also hit Al-Garma, Al-Baaj, Tuz Khurmatu, Badush, Mosul, Baquba and Spurs, Khales, killing seven people and dozens were injured. A day earlier, 13 people were killed in an attack in northern Baghdad.

On Monday, security services company United Kingdom AKE Group warned that "terrorists may be plotting attacks on Iraq with many victims on the masses gather to mark the end of Ramadan this weekend".

"We have not received specific intelligence data on this subject, but they (the rebels) can ' save ' the bombers by providing for the late period, or around 17-18 August," analyst John AKE Drake.

Official Data said the number of people killed in attacks in July was 325 people, the highest monthly number of deaths since August 2010.
