Black Hawk crashed in Afghanistan, 11 people were killed

Foreign troops in Afghanistan depends very much with air transport.

KABUL, KOMPAS.com- Eleven people were killed when a Black Hawk helicopter carrying foreign troops crashed in Afghanistan's South. According to a statement issued NATO-led coalition forces (ISAF), Thursday (16/08/2012).

ISAF said the victim died of seven United States soldiers and four citizens of Afghanistan. The Afghan Government says the helicopter crashed in the District of Shah Wali Kot, in the province of Kandahar. The four casualties in Afghanistan, three of which were soldiers while one other person was a civilian translator.

Taliban said they shot down a military helicopter, though this claim has yet to be verified.

Correspondents say the Taliban sometimes exaggerating statement which they remove.

ISAF said the incident was investigated Central.

Some say not all this military helicopter crashed in Afghanistan. Foreign troops in Afghanistan depends very much by helicopter and aircraft for transporting troops and military logistics.

In August 2011, the Taliban shot down the Chinook helicopter near Kabul killed 30 civilians and eight Afghan citizens of the United States, the single most deadly incident menjadikanya since the war in Afghanistan began.

Foreign troops would be withdrawn from the plan in Afghanistan by the end of 2014.
